Volunteer Services

Jewish Home At Home

The Jewish Home at Home provides the services necessary to enable seniors to continue to live in their own home as they age. Volunteer opportunities are tailored to the interests of the volunteers and the needs of the seniors. They include friendly visiting, telephone reassurance calls, assistance with mail and routine bills, transportation to appointments, shared meals, outings, shopping, reading, games, etc.

Safely@Home (Formerly 'Bonim Builders')
Safely@Home (formerly Bonim Builders) utilizes volunteers in hands-on projects to renovate or perform critical repairs for qualified low-income homeowners, the elderly, the disabled, and the chronically-ill. Safely@Home creates opportunities for individuals and groups to connect with the concept of Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, a core value of Judaism. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to participate, even those with little or no experience are encouraged to volunteer.

Meaningful B’nai Mitzvah projects are available. Ages 12 and up. Ages 12 – 15 need to be accompanied by a participating adult.
