Jewish Home Assisted Living, Kaplen Family Senior Residence, joins the Jewish Home Family in helping to deliver a continuum of care for seniors. This is a tradition of over 97 years of caring for our elderly with services ranging from kosher meals-on-wheels, adult day health care, sub-acute and rehabilitative services, long term care and now assisted living.

Jewish Home Assisted Living is a Glatt Kosher community in Bergen County, located in suburban River Vale, and only minutes away from the center of Westwood. Our luxurious two story community is set on 5 ½ beautifully landscaped acres.

We offer a choice between studio, one and two bedroom apartments in our general assisted living area and 24 studio apartments are available in “Memory Lane“, a secured unit for those with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Our community reflects traditional Judaic values with kosher meals (elegant dining) and Shabbat and High Holiday services being offered. Jewish Home Assisted Living is a non-sectarian community open to all seniors regardless of race, religion or national origin. Our residents enjoy a range of amenities including a gym, library, internet café, theatre and outdoor patio.

Jewish Home Assisted Living has a Wellness Center onsite which is staffed with professional nurses and caregivers 24 hours/7 days a week to make sure you or your loved ones’ needs are met at all times. All areas of the community are handicapped accessible. We offer transportation for local doctor appointments, local shopping and other events in the community six days a week. Beyond local areas, Jewish Home Assisted Living staff will assist with transportation arrangements.
