Building Together

Annual Giving Program

The Jewish Home Foundation invites you to join our Building Together Annual Giving Program. Your participation in this program will provide annual operating funds for programs and services delivered by the Jewish Home Family to our residents. Your financial support is critical in allowing us to provide the best possible quality of life to our elders each day.

Building Together Annual Giving Program provides you with the opportunity to support our elders while enjoying specific benefits to attend Foundation fundraising events throughout the year. Your generosity will be recognized on a plaque on the Rockleigh Campus and in Jewish Home Family publications throughout the year.

Your gift makes a difference. Your  gift to the Jewish Home Foundation secures the future of Jewish Home Family’s innovative services and abundant programming that helps elders live full, rich and healthy lives. There is no greater privilege than giving back to those who have contributed so much of their lives and their love to our community.

Contributions may be made through the Jewish Home Foundation which is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions made to the Foundation are tax-deductible as permitted by law.

For more information about the Building Together Annual Giving Program, please contact the Foundation Executive Director, Laurie Meltzer Bandremer at 201-750-4231, or [email protected].

A Gift From Your Heart

The Foundation supports the vital work of the Jewish Home Family through community engagement and fundraising.  The Jewish Home Family’s mission is to make aging a vital and meaningful experience, understanding and meeting the unique needs of each individual. Services include assisted living, long term care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, memory care, a nationally recognized Center for Parkinson’s Care and the only elder abuse shelter, SeniorHaven, in the State of New Jersey.

Members of the community are afforded numerous opportunities to help in supporting programs and services the Jewish Home Family delivers on both campuses, and through our outreach programs and services through the  Jewish Home Foundation.

Leave a Legacy

By joining the Legacy Society, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful gift that extends far beyond today – creating a brighter, more secure future for elders in our care. Legacy giving is more than a donation; it’s a commitment to sustaining vital programs and services for generations to come. Together, we can ensure that the needs of our community continue to be met, year after year.

There are many ways to make a planned gift, and your planned gift should be as unique as you are. We can work with you and your financial, personal estate, and/or tax advisors to customize your legacy gift. Some ways others have made gifts in the past include:

Endowments

Endowments may be established with a gift in your lifetime or through your will. After you create an endowment fund, you may continue to add gifts to that fund. Additional funds for your endowment may come as a bequest in your will. Your endowment fund may be named for you or someone whom you wish to honor. Endowments continue in perpetuity, remaining for generations to come, creating a meaningful legacy for individuals and their families.

Bequest

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an advisor, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift be made to Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey, Inc. (JHF), to benefit Jewish Home Family, as part of your estate plan.

IRA

Contact your financial institution and name the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey, Inc. as the beneficiary of your IRA.

Life Insurance

Designate the Jewish Home Foundation of North Jersey, Inc. as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy by contacting your provider and updating your beneficiary form.

Charitable Trusts

A charitable trust is a legal arrangement that allows you to donate assets to a charity while also receiving benefits. Charitable trusts may be used to support causes you care about, such as the Jewish Home Foundation, while also providing tax benefits.

To discuss your Legacy gift, please contact Laurie Meltzer Bandremer, Executive Director of the Jewish Home Foundation at 201-750-4231 or [email protected].

Gifts of Recognition

There are many milestones in life. A donation can make those milestones even more memorable. It is a gift that pays tribute to someone in a truly meaningful way.

IN HONOR.

Commemorate special occasions like birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and anniversaries with your tribute gift. We’ll send an acknowledgment to your honoree or honoree’s family to notify them of your thoughtful gift.

IN MEMORY.

Make a gift in memory of a loved one who has passed. We will notify the family of your thoughtful gift in their memory.

Remembering a Loved One

The Jewish Home Foundation’s Perpetual Yahrzeit ensures that Kaddish will be recited yearly on the Shabbat that coincides with your loved one’s anniversary of their passing. On that day, the name of the departed, and the comforting words of Kaddish, will be recited in the Jewish Home Family Synagogue on the Rockleigh Campus. Each year, you will receive a notification from the Jewish Home

Foundation with the Yahrzeit date.
Perpetual Yahrzeit – $1,000

Your one-time donation will support the Jewish Home Family’s mission to make aging a vital and meaningful experience by understanding and meeting each individual’s unique needs and providing care and services rooted in our tradition of Jewish values.
