For over 100 years The Jewish Home Family continues the Jewish tradition of honoring the elderly from New Jersey and New York
Founded in 1915 in Jersey City, the Jewish Home’s longevity and history of providing high quality, individualized care and services to the elderly makes it a proud focal point for the community.
The Jewish Home Family is the organizational parent of the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, Jewish Home Assisted Living, Jewish Home Foundation, Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center and the Jewish Home at Home. It oversees the activities, performance and financial health of its constituent organizations and attempts to identify, define and address those areas in which the needs of our elderly remain unmet.
The Jewish Home Family enjoys a wonderful tradition of serving the needs of the thousands of elderly and their families in our community for nearly a century. We have responded to the changing demands of the Jewish community, evolving from what began as a home for orphans and the aged in Jersey City to a state-of-the-art center for long-term and rehabilitative elder care in Rockleigh.
Opened in 2001, the Jewish Home at Rockleigh was developed in response to the continuing rise in the number of elderly in our community who require long-term and sub-acute rehabilitative care. Situated on a breathtaking park-like 16-acre campus, our 180 resident facility offers skilled nursing and geriatric care to families in Bergen, Rockland and Hudson Counties.
