Sub-Acute Care / Skilled Rehabilitation

The rehabilitation services at the Jewish Home provide an integrated therapeutic approach to the care of both in-house residents and outpatients in our large, spacious gyms that include:

• Speech Therapy

Our team of therapists specialize in providing therapy for those who have suffered from injuries or illnesses related to areas such as:

• Neurological
• Cardiac
• Pulmonary
• General Deconditioning

Free Spirit Wing

Our Free Spirit Wing is home to 42 residents who each are living with a diagnosis of Dementia or Alzheimer’s. The unit’s numerous walkways, closed doors and experienced staff promote a safe environment for wandering residents. Other features include:

• Full unit specific activity schedule
• Soft sensory room
• Greenhouse
• Musical area

Respite Care

Respite Services are provided for families who have a need to admit their loved one on a temporary basis. Whether you are going on vacation, have an emergency or need any other temporary break, rest assured that the Jewish Home will care for your loved one during that time. He or she will have access to all the amenities and services the Home provides.

Hospice Care

Warm, compassionate care is as important at the end of life as it is during other life stages. Hospice care is designed to provide comfort care to individuals suffering from terminal illnesses. The Jewish Community Hospice program is a partnership between the Jewish Home and the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, who has now joined with the VNA of Englewood Health Care Group, which includes specialized pastoral services for hospice patients and their families. We have contracts in place with several other quality hospice programs as well. A full-time certified wound care specialist is on staff.
