Gallen Adult Day Health Care Center
Jewish Home At Home

The Gallen Adult Day Health Care program provides care and services to the elderly living in the community who are experiencing frail health and/or Dementia. The program runs Monday through Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Volunteers are needed to greet and assist clients on and off the bus, transport participants to rehab services and to help serve breakfast and lunch. Volunteer entertainers, musicians, dance troupes are also welcome. Administrative help is appreciated – great for high school students looking for community service hours.

Jewish Home Assisted Living
Kaplen Family Senior Residence

The Jewish Home Assisted Living is a beautiful place to call home. Located just steps from downtown River Vale, New Jersey, JHAL offers general assisted living and a separate wing for those who are memory impaired. Volunteers are always appreciated. Guest speakers, musical entertainers and card and Mah Jong players are most welcome to apply to our volunteer program. Children over 12 are also welcome to volunteer to assist with game programs, pet visits and more.

Jewish Home At Home

The Jewish Home at Home provides the services necessary to enable seniors to continue to live in their own home as they age. Volunteer opportunities are tailored to the interests of the volunteers and the needs of the seniors. They include friendly visiting, telephone reassurance calls, assistance with mail and routine bills, transportation to appointments, shared meals, outings, shopping, reading, games, etc.

Safely@Home (Formerly 'Bonim Builders')

Safely@Home utilizes volunteers in hands-on projects to renovate or perform critical repairs for qualified low-income homeowners, the elderly, the disabled, and the chronically-ill. Safely@Home creates opportunities for individuals and groups to connect with the concept of Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, a core value of Judaism. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to participate, even those with little or no experience are encouraged to volunteer.

Meaningful B’nai Mitzvah projects are available. Ages 12 and up. Ages 12 – 15 need to be accompanied by a participating adult.

Jewish Home At Rockleigh
Russ Berrie Home For Jewish Living

The Jewish Home at Rockleigh is a state-of-the-art long term care and rehabilitation center located on 16 beautiful acres in Rockleigh, New Jersey.

Volunteers are needed to visit residents, play cards and help document personal histories. Guest lecturers are needed to present at our Jewish Home University Educational Program. Musical entertainers and artists are also welcome. Children under 12 years of age may participate through our Grandbuddies Program.
