Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program Offered by The Almar School

The Almar School is proud to offer an innovative Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program designed to advance career opportunities, strengthen staff development, and meet the growing demand for CNAs across New Jersey.

Our unique “earn as you learn” model allows students to receive both pay and benefits while completing their training. Participants work 20 hours per week and attend classes for the remaining 20 hours—earning income for both. Over the course of six weeks, students gain comprehensive classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience, preparing them to pass the required clinical skills exam.

Once students pass the clinical component, they begin working as nursing assistants while preparing for the New Jersey state-written exam, which is administered off-site. Upon passing, they earn their official Certified Nursing Assistant license.

Our program is led by experienced nurses from both Jewish Home campuses. Each instructor has completed extensive certification and specialized CNA instructor training, and developed their own tailored curriculum to ensure the highest quality of instruction.

To promote a personalized and focused learning experience, each training session is limited to just 10 students, in accordance with state regulations.

This transformative program is made possible by a generous anonymous donation, given in heartfelt gratitude by a family whose loved ones received exceptional care at Jewish Home Family. Their gift honors their parents and supports the continued excellence of caregiving in our community.
